Ie no longer asks me if i want to save?

if i click on a zip link, it no longer asks me if i want to open it or save it.

it opens the zip file.

how can i get the options back ?

Rather than selecting the lick directly by clicking on it (which runs the program and opens the .zip file), right click on the link and select "Save As" instead. Then you can save the .zip file wherever you like, run a virus scan (highly recommended!) on it and then open it.
