Try using Mozilla Firefox instead... worked for me ;-)

IE and Firefox keep losing wireless Internet access on laptop, but uTorrent doesn't?

I have a weird problem with my Dell E1505 laptop, running Vista Ultimate. I have a wireless network in my house and it works quite well. However, on a pretty regular basis I lose the ability to access the Internet with a browser. I do not lose the connection and it says I have "local and internet" access, but nothing on the browsers. To make it really confusing, if I have uTorrent running at the same time, it does not lose the access! it keeps downloading/uploading as if nothing was wrong. Most of the time turning the wireless off/on fixes the problem, but sometimes I have to reboot. This is the second router with the same problem, so I am assuming it is something with the laptop or the laptop's settings. Any ideas? thanks.

IE or Firefox?

Firefox wins by far. IE can't even compare. Everything in IE 7 that is good, they copied from firefox.

IE or Firefox?windows nt

hahaha Firefox by a long shot!!!!!!!!!!

IE or Firefox?windows 95 internet explorer

Firefox without a doubt. IE has many more vulnerabilities than firefox.

http://www.getfirefox.com

With firefox you can block ads also.
firefox
Firefox all the way.

Just check out this CNET review:

Firefox is better in every way including, installation woes, look and community, tabbed browsing, cool new features, security and performance. The winner is clearly Firefox 2.
Firefox 2 is great than IE7 because it is speedy and has many addon to add. Visit https://addons.mozilla.org/
definitely firefox.........I would even go w/ opera before IE.
firefox the best
firefox is way better than IE
Firefox. it's more customizable, more stable less vulnerability and they are innovating web browsers! ever hear of tabbed browsing...firefox started it all.
Firefox. Period!

Firefox has much more security than IE. You will notice alot less malware and spyware in your cleanups.
Oh no question about that! Firefox 100%, it's much more reliable!
Firefox. All the plugins you can download will blow your mind.
Internet explorer 7! I prefer it.
Firefox is much faster, more secure, and doesn't make your computer crash, like (what I remember from) IE does so often.

IE Isn't working well, sites redirect me to different sites for some reason. Can anyone help me

Whenever i type in Google, the links it comes up with look normal.

However, when i click onto the Link, it redirects me to different search engines and other weird places.

Is there any way i can fix this problem? I downloaded Ad-Aware 2007 to see if it can fix it, but nothing worked.

IE Isn't working well, sites redirect me to different sites for some reason. Can anyone help me?microsoft flight simulator

Ad-Aware isn't an anti-virus program so it won't catch the google redirect virus you have. Download, use, and keep updated a quality antivirus program like AVG.

IE Isn't working well, sites redirect me to different sites for some reason. Can anyone help me?windows 2000 internet explorer

Can you tell what weird place it redirects you to? From what you're explaining, it might be a trojan or spyware that has taken over your browser
While you run Ad-Aware multiple times (once might not cut the mustard, you might need to run it over and over again), go get Spybot, HiJackThis!, CW: Shredder. These should be able to get rid of your viruses. If not, then I suggest using a different browser (e.g. Opera, Firefox) or reinstalling your OS.

For anti-virus, get FreeAVG which is available on majorgeeks.com, or on AVG's website.
Odds are good your system is infected. I ran quite a few scanners, including WindowsDefender, and AVG, and none of them found anything.

See if you have a 'zip' item in the HKLM\Software\Microsoft \Windows\CurrentVersion \ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad key of the registry. I deleted this 'zip' item, rebooted, and then deleted what had been pointed to by the item (a classid which in turn points to a zip.dll file in the %WINDIR%\Installer\* folders. Good Luck

Follow these steps in order to fix this problem.

1. Uninstall internet explorer (which you dont have to do)

2.search Mozilla on Google

3. Download fire fox which is the most secure and best web browser of 2008.

4. Enjoy the new features of fire Fox which will make you wonder why you ever used internet explorer in the first place.

Don鈥檛 believe me. Find out for yourself.

CTL ALT DEL and ending IE? How come all IE windows shut down? Is it a failsafe, will this ever chang

They all close because you are closing internet explorer the program - it doesn't matter how many windows you have open there is only one instance of the program running and when you close it, it closes all the windows with it.

CTL ALT DEL and ending IE? How come all IE windows shut down? Is it a failsafe, will this ever change?microsoft downloads

press on End this program button

CTL ALT DEL and ending IE? How come all IE windows shut down? Is it a failsafe, will this ever change?microsoft word 2003 internet explorer

Because those three keys shut down the programs using the program manager.

Does the manager appear? If not there may be a slight glich in the system. How long has this been happening.

And remember if you hit those 3 keys 2 times in a row it will automatically shut down everything that is running. I'm guessing you are not giving the manager enough time to load...go slower.

Why are you using that combination? Do you use it alot? Is your system freezing up? Sorry, you asked the question and here I'm asking more....
It is asking you if you want to end the program, not just close the last active window. As far as if this will ever change, I doubt it. To be certain you can ask MS.
are they all IE? cause if they are it's normal when you close one IE they all close Try using mozilla firefox instead it's better...
If you *oriignally* started only 1 instance of IE (that is you manually ran the program only once), then even though IE created multiple windows in the course of your browsing, it is still 1 process (in comuter terms). Therefore, if you end this process using the TaskManager, *all* windows will be closed.

However, if you manually run more than 1 instance, then if you end one process, only the windows pertaining for *that* process will be closed - the ones for the other process will continue to run.
ctrl, alt and del, bring up the task manager.. and show you all the processes running, applications, and cpu usage,,, also, you can terminate processes... which you are doing with ie... if you want to be sure, you disconnect from your broadband/dial-up etc...it might change with Vista... but who knows..
In answer to your last question

The next release of IE will be like mozilla/firefox in that you will have one IE window then multiple browsing windows within it.
Depends on which version of windows you are using but generally if you press CTrl, Alt%26lt;Del you are telling your system to shut down all open windows. I assume you are doing this because a particular window is not responding. It may just be that you have too many windows open.
This problem is often related to hardware issues. Have you gotten any errors on startup?

Check video, ram, and any other hardware.
Hi, you can try firefox browser.

firefox can fix the homepage hijacked.

it can block any annoying popup ads. it can prevent most of the virus in the webpage, as you know, most of the virus is spread through internet.

Download firefox for free:

Which metabolizes faster? Solid sugar(ie Candy) or Liquid Sugar (ie soda, tea, juice) ?

i believe it's liquid sugar, not sure

Which metabolizes faster? Solid sugar(ie Candy) or Liquid Sugar (ie soda, tea, juice) ?microsoft xp

soda

Which metabolizes faster? Solid sugar(ie Candy) or Liquid Sugar (ie soda, tea, juice) ?download windows xp internet explorer

Solid. Liquid sugar gets into the blood stream.
niether they are both bad for you
liquid i think. tea will metabolize faster than opal fruits or those cola bottles (though for sweets, the gummy ones with no sugar have less cals. i.e. Harribo)

but if you are thinking about your weight - why not substitute? fruit (certain kinds) can be just as sweet as sweets!

i.e. grapes, pink lady apples and braeburn apples.
the diabetic in me says liquid.. if my sugars are very low I go for a drink like Coke, candy takes too long to get me back up.

So the answer is liquid.
